ODL Institutions in PNG

Open and Distance Learning in Papua New Guinea  is not as developed as in many other developed and developing nations. However, as the demand for higher or tertiary education continues to grow, the current conventional face to face higher institutions cannot meet the demand. They have limited resources and infrastructure to accommodate the high number of eligible students completing the Grade 12 Final Examinations to gain entry into the tertiary institutions every year.

FODE (Flexible Open Distance Education) under the PNG Department of Education.
