PNG Government Allocates K5 Million to kick Start National Open University in 2014 Budget

The current Papua New Guinea government headed by Prime Minister, Hon. Peter O'Neal has finally realized the important of establishing a National Open University for Papua New Guinea.

The two local daily newspapers have reported this week  that the government has allocated K5 Million in the 2014 National Budget to kick start the establishment of the Open University.
Which model and all the technicalities of establishing it will be left with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology by its Minister, Hon.David Hore but its definitely a history in its making. It will be an interesting development for those who have been supporters and promoters of Open and Distance Learning.
